Bracelet Tables: What's Hot Next
October 8, 2013Furniture is really fashion for the home and with the start of the new season, there are some amazing things coming to our stores everyday. There’s one new trend that I’m especially excited about: bracelet tables. Really, no home should be without one. Or two. Or three. Let me explain.
Bracelet tables are modestly sized, metalwork end tables. The bases are crafted in all fashion of metal with gold, silver, nickel and painted iron finishes. I love mirrored tabletops – this is a glam look – but leather, marble and painted glass are beautiful too. Overall, design and materials suggest bangles, bracelets and cuffs. When I say these tables are like jewelry in a room, it’s not a farfetched comparison. New York’s Fashion Week recently wrapped up. Chunky bracelets were all over the runways. No surprise that they are also appearing in the fashion-forward boutiques, like Robb & Stucky, in the form of bracelet tables.
Do you know how some pieces in your closet or the jewelry box are “staples”? Those favorite pieces that you seem to wear all the time? It’s the same for bracelet tables. These tables are beautiful workhorses. They’re perfect in the bedroom next to a bedside chair. They’re naturals in the living room. And, because of the smallish scale, I’ve clustered three or four bracelet tables together as a new twist on the cocktail table. This is an especially fun and functional look. I think it works best when individual tables in the cluster are different – very eclectic, and similar to how women stack bracelets on their wrists. Best of all, the table groupings can easily be de-coupled based on what’s happening in the room. Innovate!
Bracelet tables are a great way to unshackle your creativity. But with more new colors, styles and designs coming to our floor everyday, Robb & Stucky offers even more inspiration for the fall. It’s all in store now!
